Initially
when I started doing make up I was not well familiar with the importance of
face and eyelid primer. I use to think they are not essential to have. However,
when I used to go to parties, I feel like even after using good foundations and
eye pallets, something was lacking in my makeup, especially my eyes shadow used
to fade more quickly than it should be and also it used to lack the lustrous
shine in it. When I went deep into this cosmetics field, I came to the importance
of primers and the role they play in flawless makeup application. So here am I
with my first primer, ELF eye lid primer.

My thoughts:
Well, it available in 3 shades; champagne, pearl
and golden. I have got mine in sheer shades. It has a semi-thick consistency
and comes with a sponge doe foot applicator. I usually apply it, after applying
my foundation. I simply dab some product with the applicator on my eyes and
then I use my concealer brush or more often my fingers to blend it out. It
nicely even out my skin and provide a smooth surface for eye shadow
application.
Telling very frankly, I was not expecting much for
this primer, I just bought it to try the difference in eye makeup done with or
without primer. It did a great job, it not only enhanced my eye shadow shine
and colour, but also keep them on nicely for hours without fading.
One thing
more I want to share, I experienced it works well when applied after applying foundation
to eyes, because when applied bare, it somehow make my lid darker. Over all, it’s
a super affordable eyelid primer which
works great to make eyelid smooth and help creasing too.

- When use bare, makes eyelid bit ashy.
